What is a Competency Record?

A Competency Record is proof that an employee was trained in the safe use of Equipment. The Competency Record is created, completed and signed by an approved Assessor with the operator also signing the record.

Generally a Pre-Operation Check cannot be completed on a piece of Equipment without the Employee having a completed Competency Record for that piece of Equipment, ensuring that only trained Employees operate equipment.
