What is the Incidents/Hazard Management system within the Toolbox?
The Toolbox webapp is designed so once a Hazard or Incident is reported, actions can be implemented to eliminate or reduce further risk to employees.
Hazards
Incidents
Hazards
- Any employee can report a Hazard
- Once a Hazard is reported, chosen staff will receive a notification
- The Hazard is then reviewed and a Risk Assessment is conducted to determine the risk severity, likelihood and consequences
- The Hazard can then be closed when all corrective steps have been implemented.
Incidents
- Any employee can report an Incident, however it is recommended that senior staff submit incidents where possible as there is more detail to an incident than a hazard
- Once an Incident is reported, chosen staff will receive a notification
- The Incident is then reviewed, more details can be added, e.g. specific injury details or more photos etc.
- Follow Up Notes can then be added to record what steps have been taken
- A Hazard can then be linked to the Incident whether it be a Hazard already submitted into the Toolbox, or a new hazard identified to be the cause of the Incident
- The Hazard process can then be started to reduce or eliminate the Hazard to decrease the risk of another same Incident occurring.
- The Incident can then be closed if all steps have been actioned. The Hazard may still remain open even if the Incident is closed as it may take more time to fix the Hazard.
